What is Capoeira?

Capoeira is a martial art from Brazil, which differs from eastern martial arts by integrating aspects of music and rhythm. For a spectator, it may look like a dance, when the capoeiristas move their body according to the groove of the berimbau. Yet, behind this dance, there is a game and a fight, that strengthens the body and sharpens the mind, that gives self-confidence and balance.

Venha vê!

The style we play is called Capoeira de Angola, the versatile and playful type of this fascinating martial art. Capoeira de Angola has a fine tradition and emphasizes the unity of music, movement and interaction.

Our group consists of ca. 30 members. Mixed from university students, students and employed persons, men and women as well as beginners and advanced capoeiristas.
